Once again, the Pennsylvania Labor History Society closes the gaps in people’s knowledge and appreciation of the labor movement in our Commonwealth. This year, we meet at the UE 506 hall in Lawrence Park to recognize four brothers and sisters who have contributed much to our labor heritage and struggles and to recount the important place of labor in American history and to recommit ourselves to educating Pennsylvanians about those efforts, past and present. The reception on October 27 begins at 6:00 p.m.
Please join us again on Saturday the 28th at the Local 506 hall (3923 Main Street in Lawrence Park) at 9:00 a.m. for a look at labor 100 years ago and today, as seen by labor activists and analysts. The awards will be inspirational and the serious analyses will be thought-provoking. The fellowship will be rewarding to all. You’ll be glad you came. Solidarity!
