2025 PA Labor History Society Conference

If you are a member, look for your copy of the 2026 PLHS Journal in your mail in August.  If you are not a member, you can receive a copy of the 2026 PLHS Journal by becoming an individual or organizational member of PLHS.

The conference was held at the Penn State’s Fayette Campus (soon to close!) in Uniontown, PA for our annual conference on June 20-21, 2025.   Preceded by a Board meeting, the two-day program covered a presentation by the Coal and Coal Museum collection curator at the Campus ,as well as presentations by Paul Clark, newly elected PLHS president, covering the assassination of Jock Yablonski and the role Miners for Democracy played in the UMWA.  

   Dinner and an awards ceremony, including greetings from retiring UMWA president Cecil Roberts, as well as a visit to the Dunbar Historical Society’s Coke Museum, rounded out the weekend.
